I have 2 harddrives. One is 2.0 G and the other is 1.3 G. It was obvious, smelling the other 1400/166 that something had smoked the motherboard. The monitor won't come on. Funny, thing, the 166 had an intact CD player.
I figured that I would check the 166, 2.0 drive (Bad Decision) in my 1400/133. The 133 has 7.5 on it. I have 7.6 someplace, and haven't found it. So, I booted with an 8.1 CD, and on the 2.6 was visible, but could not be formatted. So, I pulled out the 166 hard drive and put the 1.3. It will boot into 8.1 but the drive is not recognized. Neither is it recognized in the repair or partition tools. Man, ... do I regret this, big time, because I was keeping a sleep history on Clairis 5.0. I saved a copy of the data to a 3.5, ... .
