What are osx 10.1.5/10.1/10.0's min. requirements? Thanks ~ Ben ~

Bigger better faster more.

OS X is Unix varient with a pig-slow GUI that requires an oodle of memory and two oodles of processor power.

<ahem>

Any G3 or G4 or G5 Mac with a built-in USB and 128 MB RAM.

Some older Macs can run OS X with the help of a cool hack called XPostFacto.

IMO, 512 MB RAM should be the real minimum, if you don't do video editing. The Aqua GUI is just so piggy it's too sluggish with less memory.

As for 10.0 vs 10.1 vs 10.2 (Jaguar) vs 10.3 (Panther)... IMO, Panther is so much nicer, more robust, and more stable, than its predecessors, it's worth having. If you can't do Panther then maaaaby Jaguar or better yet skip OS X altogether - use OS 9.2.2 or Linux.

FWIW,
- Dan.
