Has anyone ever opened a M1906 and care to explain how it is done?

From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Most PB batteries are heat fused.

Blackbird batteries are complicated by having two compartments: 1)
battery proper, and 2) battery controls. The "smarts" are in the control
section, which is usually accessible by prying off the side, which is not
heat fused.

The usual drill for separating the remaining halves is a very thin Zona
"razor" saw, penetrating the housing only far enough to achieve
separation, not far enough to sever the film-type power connections.

Once re-celled, the halves may be held together by transparent packing
tape, the non-reinforced type.

Thanks ACFX44501.
Anyone know what kind of cell are used in there?
I would like to know if it will be possible to find replacement before committing chirurgy :-)
