IIRC, RAM modules for the 3400c and Kanga are not entirely
interchangeable. Especially the higher capacity modules. It doesn't
sound like either machine or the RAM is broken. What are the specs
on the DRAM chips? Get the specs and let us know - we might be able
to figure out if this is the issue. You can also check the dev notes
for details.
