May be off-target with this, but just for your info when puzzling over yours, be aware of much wierdness with older routers.

My router will NOT work with my 3400 (OS9) if I set the IP manually in the TCPIP control panel.

Works fine when set to get its IP address from the router by DHCP. It seems the router has to receive a DHCP request from the 3400 in order to recognise its presence. Oddly, I can get windows machines to do manual IP no problem.


router is a Dlink DI106. But what else do I expect if I buy all my equipment for next to nothing on ebay? :-)
