I never put Mac OS into the "bloatware" category.  Especially classic.

It's all relative.   It depends on the perspective of the user.

As OSs do more for the user more is expected. Functions that people did without and never missed become " necessary".

"Bloatware " ?  It's all in the mind of the user.
