Was it a Powerbook specific CD ? ( Not absolutely necessary )

You probably should have had to deal with an installer icon and agree to the license agreement and offered the chance of a custom install.

The CD should boot by holding down the " C " key after hitting the power button and hearing the startup chime.

Did you press any reset button to dump NVRAM ?

You ,may have to use disk setup to format the disk also. Use HFS + format.

The CD was PB specific (pretty sure) but there was no installer icon and no agreement. I pressed the space bar, which I thought was the key sequence for booting from the CD. I pressed the reset button but only for a fraction of a second, thinking that since the PRAM had been out for an hour that all would be reset. Would I still have to push the reset for a minute or so? And I thought there would be some format choice but none has appeared. I will give it a bit and then maybe reboot it. Damn, I hope I don't have to tear it apart again. Thanks Flux.
