Another post already showed that it's possible to run 701 on the 145.
Another thing you can do is add the Russian script (i.e. script, keyboard, and system fonts) from the 701 set to a later OS. Of course, you wouldn't have a completely russified computer, but you can write in Russian. I've done this with OS 7.5.3 and 9.2.2, so compatibility seems to be OK. I could send you these parts by email if you want.
