My 2 cents?
The Pismo is more readily adaptable.
By this I mean that even a clot with the mechanical skills of a turtle with a screwdriver (i.e. me...) can upgrade and reconfigure it rather easily. The TiBooks, on the other hand usually need a more skilled touch, and upgrade parts are fewer and more expensive. OK, the TiBook is newer, shinier and have a faster processor, and you think that would mean more price-wise, but it seems to me that in computing, utility wins the day.

It's a Chevy/Jaguar thing.
Get an old Chevy to fix up, and parts seemingly fall from the sky.
Get a Jag for the same reason, and you'd better have a parts good source and deep pockets.
