Hey there fellow Powerbook lovers; I have a small problem with my 3400C.
It seems that the clicker is stuck. Nothing happens when you click it,
and you can't scroll or anything with it. Also there is a dialogue that
says the clock is showing s date that is wrong. Help please.

Hi Brad

Ok The fact that it has broken the click tab on the bottom of the button has been outlined.

The fix is easy You need a piece of padding foam Like the stuff they use to fix the number plates to cars when they do not want to use screws. (leave one side of the tape on) Turn the book over and remove the battery then the 3 screws that hold the keyboard on, Turn the book back to the right side open it up and remove the keyboard. Then lift the two side tabs for the keyboard and rest them on the edge ( Do not force them). remove the palm rest and disconnect the cable so you do not break it. stick the foam on the bottom of the clicker pad making sure the non sticky side is down.

Then replace the parts in reverse order.

The whole process takes no more than 20mins tops.

I have done this with my 3400c and it is still working fine over 9 months of use later.
