to which Howard replied, <Why did you have to stop using RamDoubler? I used it on both my PPC'd 520c and 5300c when online with them, all the time.> Could it be something to do with an OS conflict? I don't remember what OS Dale said he had on his 1400 or if he even specified. Anyway, here's why I suggest this. I have RAMDoubler 2. It was wonderful way back when on my first Mac (Performa 475, OS 7.5.3), and on my 7200/120 until I upgraded it from OS 7.5.5 to 8.1. It also works on my Powerbook 190 (OS 7.5.5). So, for whatever reason, I think OS 8 must have "done something" to it. When I start up my 190, the screen says its on and I can see it enabled in the About This Mac from the Apple menu. However, this all "disappeared" with the 7200 when I got it up to OS 8.1. So that's is why I never even bothered to install it on either my G3 (started out with 8.1 but is on 9.2.2 now) or my Powerbook 5300c, which is on OS 8.6. ~Yersinia. ________ "Second on the food chain is dead." -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
