The only reason to not use the CF as VM is that compactflash does have a limited life for writing to the media - it's in the millions of writes so it may not be an immediate problem. You can READ from a CF unlimited numbers of times tho. (There's a white paper on this on sandisk's website somewhere--I can track down the URL if anyone's interested. I haven't read it in a couple of years. It was discussed when a gent named Rich Dreher released an interface card for the Apple II (yes, Apple II! :) ) that lets you use a CF as your //'s hard-drive. Writing to an 8- or 16-bit computer is a lot less intensive than using VM on a Mac. :) )
