I liked my 5300, but it kept needing repairs--I ended up buying 3
additional for parts before finally giving up and getting a G4 powerbook.
I liked the 5300's screen, and built-in PCMCIA slot (wifi was easy), but
the power connector on the MB is a killer to repair. Had to replace the
hinge too--another known weakness of the 5300.
My PPC'd 520c on the other hand is still going strong, and while not a
speed demon, still does minimal web browsing, great at telnet, and fair
for IRC chatting. (Amazing the effects of looking at the 520's screen
after using the G4's 15" for a while now. :) ) Now if I could only get a
decently priced Rev C card adapter for the 520 too.....
Later.................Howard
