I've never tried the auction feature of IE5, but saving web pages with iCab, 
including auctions pages with pictures, works great for me, too.   The files 
are usually small, and I can move them from OS9 computers to X computers(with 
iCab 3.x on them) and vice versa with no problem.  Just make sure to "save 
as..." a web archive page to save the whole page as is.   If the auction page 
will 
not update when you go to refresh it, at least you have the url in the url 
block to paste into a new browser window.
