I think thqat if you look more closely, you may find another port that is a
regular Mac Din8 or whatever. The thing you are describing sounds like the
auxiliary power connector. I have a Quicktake 150 and I know that you can power
it by battery or by power supply (has to be a powerbook variety I think). My
150 has a door that slides to reveal the serial port connector.
