I'm looking to buy a Power Tower chassis gutted of everything but the power supply, motherboard and PCI riser boards. Even the PS and PCI boards are optional. Ideally I'd like a Power Tower Pro chassis but any of the 6-slot machines would be fine.
Problem I've got is that I really need more slots in my Frankenstein PowerWave and after all the upgrades I've got spare drives, a spare video board and a spare 604 CPU board. With another motherboard I could be another machine, basically. Or rather, I could strip out all the upgrades and put 'em in a stripped 6-slot machine and rebuild my PowerWave to original spec. Prices for motherboards at the usual sources like MacResQ tend to be highly variable, reasonable on some things and outrageous for others (my IIcx motherboard is worth how much!?!).
