The PTP originally shipped with 32 MB ram, although there were several
promotions offering free ram upgrades during it's run.
Apple System Profiler versions after OS 8.5 will tell you the size and
location of dimms in the 8 slots available, but you'll have to pull the
dimms and record the infor on the individual IC's on the dimms to determine
exactly what you've got.

In fact the PTP's will work with a mixed bag of EDO & FPM ram dimms, however...
as ram is of paramount importance in all computing tasks, and as mismatched
speed, refresh rates and types can cause weird freezes and crashes even
with the stock 180 / 200 / 225 & 250 604e cpu's, it makes sense to match
all dimms when upgrading to the high end G3 and G4 cpu's to enhance the
full potential of the PTP.

The site below is worth bookmarking for reference to the type of ram you
have in your computer, and is especially useful when you come into more
dimms from older machines.
