Now, If I remember this right, my Powerbase 180 is only compatible with 603 and G3 upgrades - the latter from Powerlogix. No 604s or G4s.
Is there anything apart from the low case form factor which prevents me from using other manufacturers' G3 upgrades? Plan being to purchase an XLR8 ZIF Carrier with a G4 CPU on it, plug the G4 into my beige, and transfer the G3/300 onto the carrier and into the Powerbase 180 motherboard, in a larger (PC) case to provide the needed headroom.
