I have a PTP225 and have installed Virtual PC 2.5.1 (Windows 95) on it so my granddaughter can use a digital camera she got as a gift. No problem installing the Virtual PC or the Nick Click Digital Camera CD files.
The problem I have is the cable connecting the camera to the computer. It is for a PC so it has a 9-pin serial cable. I opened the 9-pin end of this cable and found that only three pins are actually used. The pins used are 1, 3 and 4 of the top five pins on the cable. I would like to manually connect these to a Mac serial port (din) cable so I can connect the camera to my PTP225. Does any one know where I can find a pin description for the PTP225 serial ports (both the modem port and the printer port) ? I suspect I will be able to get help with these ports easier than I can get the same help with the identity of the three active pins in the 9-pin serial cable for the PC but I am determined to try. Thanks in advance for any help given. --Carl __________________________________________________________________ McAfee VirusScan Online from the Netscape Network.
