What it looks like is some member of the list is using one of those silly
anti-spam tools that forces you to authenticate yourself before it will
forward your message [0] and the message in question got bounced back to the
list. I have no idea why so many replied to it.

[0] Personally I think these tools that force you to prove you are *not* a
spammer stink. Just plain laziness on the part of the recipient IMHO. If I
send somebody an email and they want to make me prove I am a real person
sending them real email then they can just kiss my...
