I think the PowerBases shipped with an Asant� card, but I have also
seen those units with Farallon cards.

You should see a vendor name somewhere on the card itself (not the
word Sonic that might be printed on a chip).

About the only identity I can find is an IC with the "Winbond" name on it. I will try some drivers and see what comes up.
