Jack,

thanks. so if I understood you correctly, you're saying NOT to buy a "full install" version? these were the versions that were shipped with the machines, as opposed to versions bought individually from retailers?

thanks
Jackie

I'm looking to get OS 9.0 for my PTP 200. Is there a particular version/type of disc I should be looking for?
9.1 or earlier. 9.1 was the last version of OS 9 that would install on the clones and old world Macs. There is a hack/helper that will let you install 9.2 (check out http://www.os9forever.com for details) however, 9.1 will work fine. What you do need to watch out for when shopping is that you are buying a "full install" version. There were machine specific versions produced.

Other than that you should have no problems. I ran 9.1 on two PTP's and it worked fine
