You can use it as is for basic word-processing or to
play older games, etc.; as a print or file server for
a home network via ethernet; it's a very capable and
expandable older machine.
OR you can drop in a G3 upgrade from PowerLogix or
XLR8 - the kind with switches that let you set bus
speed and bus multiplier yourself. The PCPs have a
stock bus speed of 60 MHz, the fastest available in
*ANY* pre-G3 model, and I've successfully clocked
adjustable G3 upgrades with bus speeds as high as 66
MHz...some even higher! You can turn your PCP into
quite a little speed demon, and use it quite happily
with broadband internet connection, for graphics in a
home studio (I did my Multimedia Course homework on a
PowerCenter with XLR8 G3 running at 360 MHz) - lots of
stuff!
Question is - what would you LIKE to do with it...?
