PowerBase units came in 180. 200 and 240 mHz speeds. You can also install a G3 cpu. Here's a possibility : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5724661722 It's a Starmax clone that has a Sonnet G3 upgrade. It'll probably go dirt cheap, and for little more than the cost of shipping a carcass you'll have a hangar queen to gut for parts. Both the PowerBase and Starmax were based on the 'Tanzania' board. > 2. What kind of modem works in the PCI slot? All the ones I tried were PC/Win > and none worked. There are no PCI modems for Macs of that era. Try a US Robotics external > 3. Is there a tower case available for this that would clear the ports on the > motherboard? If so, where can I obtain one? There is such a beast, as the PowerBase was available in Low Profile or Tower. Again, eBay is probably your best bet. -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
