Thomas, the FCB version on the C6300 enclosure can be queried with the following raw IPMI command from any local node or remotely to any node iDRAC.
The highlighted fields are the firmware version [root@localhost ~]# ipmitool raw 0x30 0x12 01 6c 1b 02 04 06 23 00 00 03 ff 00 01 2a 2f ff ff 0f c2 00 00 01 04 01 04 31 c5 11 ff 0f If you are querying with remote IPMI then IPMI over LAN will need to be enabled from the iDRAC and the command will need to be run with lanplus ipmitool -I lanplus -H <ip/host> -U root -P <password> raw 0x30 0x12 IPMI over LAN can be enabled by logging into the iDRAC web interface and navigating to Overview > iDRAC Settings > Network > Network > IPMI Settings Josh Moore Enterprise Master Engineer - Server Solutions, HPC/Cloud RHCE, RHCSA-RHOS (120-095-146<https://www.redhat.com/wapps/training/certification/verify.html;jsessionid=zuu-TS5+X5t7hqSpWRrrJsRI.b2a6cea7?certNumber=120-095-146&isSearch=False&verify=Verify>) | LPIC-3 Core + Security Dell | Support Services -----Original Message----- From: poweredgec-tools-bounces On Behalf Of Thomas Dargel Sent: Tuesday, February 16, 2016 11:54 AM To: poweredgec-tools <[email protected]> Subject: [Poweredgec-tools] C6320: Firmware-Update for enclosure C6300 Hi all, is there a way to find out which firmware is already installed an a C6300 enclosure?
