I am new to the list just having joined for this purpose. I do have this problem and and my system is otherwise fine. After installing 10.4, and had a unexpected quit in powermail 5.1. So I downloaded 5.2b4 to see if that would solve the problem. But it doesn't launch under any circumstance. 5.1 launches, and stopped crashing after I rebuilt the data base. I read earlier on this thread that the problem is possibly caused by stuffit, but since am new don't know what was said about it earlier. It does indeed seem to be something to do with stuffit as it is an early item in the crash log backtrace. I have Stuffit deluxe 9 installed and use it, so don't want to uninstall. Is there any workaround?
