I've been trying to figure out why a filter is not working on a message. The criteria that *should* catch it is: If <sender> IS IN GROUP <LCP Gang> then file in folder LCP Gang.
The friend in question is indeed part of that address book group, but the filter does not act on the message, either automatically or manually. As far as I can see there is no other filter that would be affecting it (besides, all my filters file things somewhere, so if there was another filter sticking its nose in the message would not be remaining in the in- tray). I've also double checked the email address, tried making it the default address in the PM contact window, and I've also removed the address from the group and reinstated it. None have made any difference. I'm wondering if there is some fundamental difference between 'sender' and 'from' as filter criteria. Can anyone shed any light on that?
