Paul, If you're running Panther I would suggest looking at Postfix Enabler <http://www.roadstead.com/weblog/Tutorials/PostfixEnabler.html> and using the built-in Postfix on Panther as your SMTP server. I have my laptop set up this way and all 9 email accounts set the SMTP server in PowerMail as 127.0.0.1. It just works and it has a log.
