At the risk of suggesting the obvious, have you tried rebuilding your sort indices? (cmd-option during PM launch) I had rebuilt everything from the Edit menu yesterday. Okay, I used cmd-option, as you suggested, and PM repeatedly quits while rebuilding and won't relaunch. Reset and relaunch -- same problem. Fortunately, I used SuperDuper yesterday, so I will drag my PM folder back. PM has quit for me many times in the last 5 or 6 months. Jerome has suggested DefaultFolder and some other item as possible culprits, but I have always run the latest versions of these. Tom Miller ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: PM and unexpected "quits" From: "Bill Schjelderup" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 23 Mar 2008 09:44:46 -0600 Tom, I too have been having a LOT more "quits" with Powermail since 10.5. I too use DefaultFolder, but I'd say 99% of these failures occur during drag events, i.e. when I'm dragging a message to a folder. I've sent numerous crash logs to Jerome...but have not received any feedback. The crash frequency has dropped in the past few weeks which may be due to changes in Powermail, os 10.5 or both. Still very frustrating when it occurs as about 1/2 the time Powermail has to rebuild sort indexes... I perform regular, full with low level and up rebuilds on my database and always have the latest versions of all my software. Is anyone else experiencing these crashes? +-------------------------------------------+ Bill Schjelderup -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] +-------------------------------------------+ >T.L. No problem dragging to folders. I think my problems started in Tiger. >I've sent numerous crash logs to Jerome...but have not received any feedback. > >The crash frequency has dropped in the past few weeks which may be due >to changes in Powermail, os 10.5 or both. > >Still very frustrating when it occurs as about 1/2 the time Powermail >has to rebuild sort indexes... BTW, I dragged the PM folder back from the clone, so I'm able to use PM again. Of course I still can't use PM to check my lotto numbers -- like I could a week ago.
