I have email messages on my gmail account, visible and readable in web
mail or via IMAP. If I POP, PowerMail refuses to get up to date with the
server. It will problably download these messages at some point, but for
now it doesn't.

As Gmail POP is encrypted via SSL/TLS, listening in on the server/client
conversation doesn't yield much info, beside the fact that I see a
connection is being made.

Anyone else noticed such problems with Gmail?

As I have tens of thousands of messages, simply re-downloading messages
is not an appropriate solution. Resetting PowerMails email account
message pointer - in lack of a better name -  that I imagine keeps track
of which messages have been downloaded would be better. Anyone know
where such data is stored?
