Palo Verde requests information regarding how (or if) other licensees' evaluate
materials for neutron activation that have been inside of the Containment or
Reactor Building.

When evaluating an item for either unconditional release from the radiological
controls or during waste classification / disposal activities, do you consider
the potential for the item to have some level of neutron activation?

If yes, what type of considerations or actions do you take, e.g., sending items
off-site for analysis for potentially activated constituents, assessment of
potentially affected components and areas inside the Containment Building where
significant neutron radiation fields exist., etc?

Seth.
