At Fermi 2 Radiation Protection has this responsibility, as well as for ARMs
and process rad monitors. However when it comes to monitors whose setpoint
parameters are specified in Tech Specs, such as main steam line rad monitors,
Plant Support Engineering gets involved and makes sure that the GE setpoint
methodology is correctly applied, etc.

Effluent Rad Monitors

Effluent monitor alarm setpoints are established at San Onofre by the Effluent
group in the Chemistry Division. Area monitor setpoints were established years
ago by HP Technical staff and are modified for specific evolutions such as dry
cask loading.

What department / process is responsible for developing alarm set-point
determination methodologies at your plant; such as the methodology that may be
used for an ODCM effluent liquid process radiation monitor or an ODCM vent
stack radiation monitor???

Thank you,
