CGS, Response below.

Loose contamination?
>1000dpm/100cm2 = Contaminated Area (CA), >100,000dpm/100cm2 = High
>Contamination Area (HCA).

Is all loose contamination found outside of a CCA classified as loose
contamination? Are there instances where it would not be counted as a loose
event (floor cleaning, large area masslins, etc...)?
NO, if contamination is detected during a routine survey using massilins for
Large Area Smears (LAS), >1000dpm/pa/LAS, a follow up survey will conducted
using disk smears. If the follow up survey indicates contamination
>1000dpm/100cm it would then be posted and documented as a CA. If we find LAS
>1000dpm/pa/LAS we will clean the area using massilins or wet mopping until the
area is <1000dpm/pa/LAS.

Does your station use coveralls as RPPE or civil clothing? Do you use scrubs?
Are events on scrubs or other coveralls all counted as PCE's?
When would it not be counted?
RPPE ?
Civil Clothing is allowed inside the Radiological Control Area, Scrubs or
modesty garments are required to be worn under Protective Clothing (PCs) no
civil clothing is allowed, all contaminations >1000dpm/100cm2 are documented as
PCE's

Subject: Powernet: PCE's and loose contamination events

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering what your plants do for classifications of the following?

Loose contamination? >1000dpm/100cm2 = Contaminated Area (CA),
>100,000dpm/100cm2 = High Contamination Area (HCA).

Is all loose contamination found outside of a CCA classified as loose
contamination? Are there instances where it would not be counted as a loose
event (floor cleaning, large area masslins, etc...)?

Does your station use coveralls as RPPE or civil clothing? Do you use scrubs?
Are events on scrubs or other coveralls all counted as PCE's?
When would it not be counted?

Thanks
