1. North Anna's extremity TLDs are controlled and issued by Heath Physics.
2. Extremity TLDs are issued, tracked, and updated with HIS-20 (exposure
management software).
3. Extremity TLDs are issued to an individual and a specific RWP. They can be
used multiple times for the same worker and RWP. If the worker changes RWPs
and requires extremity monitoring, a new set of TLDs will be issued for that
RWP.

Subject: Powernet: Extremity TLDs

Bruce Power would like input from other plants for benchmarking the
following:

1. How does your facility control extremity TLDs? (IE, automated
dispenser, technician controlled, etc..)
2. How are extremity TLDs logged/ tied to a user?
3. Is multiple shift usage of extremity TLDs utilized? If yes, what
are the limits of multiple uses?

Thanks,

Mike Johnston | RP Technician UTL | B03 Radiation Safety | 519.361.2673
