Columbia’s Response:

      1. Do you tether LPRMs to the side of the SFP handrails? No,
they are bent and placed on hangers in SFP until they are disposed
      of.

      2. If so, do you lock them to prevent inadvertent removal? No
      stored underwater, no tether.

      3. If so, do you consider them VHRAs or LHRAs? N/A

Progress Energy’s Brunswick site would like information on the following:

How do you handle storing, locking and tagging old LPRMs that are removed
from the core?
      1. Do you tether LPRMs to the side of the SFP handrails?
      2. If so, do you lock them to prevent inadvertent removal?
      3. If so, do you consider them VHRAs or LHRAs?

We tether our LPRMs, lock and tag them but we do not use a VHRA key to
lock.
