HNP Response:

We track by day based on the work activities. Most activities are tasked
tracked daily for dose, workers use their work order to log in with. We have a
daily activity schedule that each task his its own estimate which rolls up to a
daily estimate. The department i.e. mechanical maintenance is responsible for
that task estimate. The responsible section, unit or sub-unit will document a
condition report for any work activity with an actual dose equal to or greater
than 10 mrem and is ± 25% (that is, plus or minus) of the estimate. In
addition departments have monthly dose goals that support KPI's. These are made
up prior to year based on work scope that it known. These estimates are also
broken down daily for a daily target which is not always in alignment with the
daily task estimate totals. Other on-line criteria for that requires
corrective actions are listed below;

· Any section, unit or subunit exceeding its monthly goal.

· Any weekly dose projection activity greater than or equal to 50 mrem
with a dose delta of + 25% (that is, plus or minus).[R4]

· The responsible section, unit or sub-unit will document, any work
activity or weekly dose projection which does not meet the above thresholds at
management discretion to capture lessons learned or improvement opportunities.

Subject: Powernet: Budgeted dose vs. actual

I would like to know if there are any nuclear plants the track daily dose
estimates and how you do it (i.e. By job , craft or just the total dose). If
you don't do it daily, then do you do it weekly.

Thank you in advance for any information you can share.
