Hi Ted,
from DCPP our answers are:

1) Yes
2) We only use the NIOSH MaxAir PAPR units, and RP maintains them.
3) Yes
4) RP maintains the programs for Station fire fighters and Security; Coatings
staff maintain their own (this is due to our Coating staff working both on-site
and in the field for the utility (PG&E) in general.

Subject: Powernet: Respiratory questions

I was wondering how other nuclear plants handle the following:

1) Do you use annual and yearly to mean the same? If not, how do you
define them?

2) Do you use the Non-Niosh MaxAir PAPRs for facial PCs or other use. If
so, who maintains them and do you issue them?

3) Do you require an individual to have a current and passed physical
prior to the mask fit?

4) Who maintains you non-radiological respiratory program, fire brigade
and security respirators?

Thanks in advance for your help.
