Palo Verde provides the following response:

In addition to the use of PAPRs, when workers are in tight work areas where
their face could come in contact with a contaminated surface we will prescribe
disposable face shields as part of the protective clothing requirements. If
you need any ordering information please let me know and I'll get that for you.

Subject: Powernet: Facial PCs

We are looking for some type of facial PCs for use by workers in tight work
areas where the worker's face might accidentally come in contact with a
contaminated surface. What we would like to try to find is a facial PC that
could not be construed as a respirator by the NRC. We have looked at the
MAXAIR (non-NIOSH) and also the 3M Versa flo, but both of these fit the
definition of a respirator by the NRC..

If anyone is using any other type of facial protection, we would be greatly
appreciative of the make, type and where they were procured from.

Thanks,
