At Palo Verde, clean-up of Rx Cavity water is normally done using the shutdown
cooling (RHR) purification system and if inoperable, cavity clean-up is done by
either cross-connecting to the Spent Fuel Pool clean-up system or thru use of
Tri-Nuke vacuums.

Subject: Powernet: Contingency plans for reactor cavity decon

All,

Braidwood would like to know: Does your station have contingency plans
developed in case of plant issues that may preclude the use of clean-up of Rx
Cavity water prior to cavity drain down? (e.g. RWCU system inoperable, Spent
Fuel Pool system inoperable, loss of Tri-Nukes, etc)

Thanks in advance for your response.
