Procedure
5.1 RP/ALARA identify work tasks that are projected to receive greater than 100
mrem (that will not have an ALARA package).
5.2 Execution team complete dose reduction worksheet (Attachment 6.1) by
partnering with RP/ALARA.
* Provide RWP number, component ID, WO & task number,
applicable dates, plan owner, and a detailed job description.
* Provide original dose and work hour estimate based on current
radiological conditions and work group identified work hours.
* Provide re-calculated dose and work hour estimates based on
implementing DRWS initiatives.
* Mark initiatives to be implemented as specified on DRWS.
Provide additional information as needed for initiatives selected.
* Provide any operating experience {OE)/Iessons learned.
5.3 Execution supervisor approve completed DRWS.
5.4 IF emergent on-line work (inside 5 weeks) and dose estimate is less than 250
mrem, approval by RP Manager is required on DRWS.
5.5 IF emergent on-line work (inside 5 weeks) and dose estimate is 250 mrem or
greater, approval by Station Manager is required on DRWS.
5.6 Execution Supervisor (or designee) Actions at Execution Week.
* Ensure ALARA initiatives listed on DRWS are in place.
* Inform crew members of dose estimates for each task.
* Monitor crew dose performance.
* Solicit lessons learned for future dose reduction.
* Communicate dose performance to their dose advocate and/or
manager/ALARA.
5.7 Execution Supervisor (or designee) Actions Post Job.
* Review performance vs. dose estimate for each task.
* Revise PM/Model dose estimate in NAS, if needed.
* Document dose received and lessons learned in NAS.
* Initiate a PIP when actual dose delta meets the following criteria
for any task:
* Over estimate by 20%
* Under estimate by 40%
