Brad, Palo Verde does not use the "drop and go" method and at this time I am
evaluating the use of installed radiation monitors with telemetry around the
site boundary and within the 10 mile EPZ. At present, I’m looking at either
DRM-1s or RDS-31s in NEMA boxes. I've mapped out the telemetry area and will
be using the WRM2 transmitters and some WRM2 and repeaters. I am looking at
either solar panels with dry air batteries or possibly co-locating the
monitor’s on siren poles with existing power.

emergencies

Fermi would like to know if anyone is using "drop and go" or installed
radiation monitors, with telemetry capability, at their site boundary and/or
further out in their Emergency Planning Zone in support of their emergency
plan. If you are, an information contact would be appreciated for additional
details on how this was implemented. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
