Palo Verde provides the following response: Palo Verde has training for the donning and removal of performing protective clothing and respiratory equipment (cut out) when exiting high contamination areas i.e., S/G Jumpers.
Prior to each outage with internal S/G inspections scheduled, we identify all S/G Jumpers and RP personnel who will be supporting the work and require that they go thru specific training in our S/G Mock-up facility. This covers full dress out in protective clothing and water proof outer protective clothing with bubble hoods and subsequent cut-out. We have found that this helps expedite bowl entry and exit and minimizes the potential to contaminated individuals during the undress process.
