We are essentially the same. Last inspection we had by the NRC, I believe their inspection guide for the GEM5/PM-7s refers to detection of a 70- 80 nCi activity. The vendor was able to supply a 67 and 68 nCi Cs-137 source, which is what we set the alarms at for the GEM 5. We set the PM-7 higher 100n/ci because it is able to detect/alarm with the 67 nCi check source in accordance with vendor manual/publications instructions.
Our SAM and ARGOS alarms were set based on the original source activity was 5000 dpm and subsequent normal decay. Mike Macho RP Supervisor Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant Luminant Power, EFH P.O.
