Subject: Powernet: Benchmark Hydrolaze Questions

Limerick Generating Station is performing an Informal Benchmarking for Improved
Hydrolaze Equipment for Reactor Vessel Nozzles. I would greatly appreciate
your response to the following questions. Any questions please contact Joe
Bruno directly at 610-718-2212.

1) For your Reactor Vessel nozzles, what group or company performs the
actual hydrolazing of the nozzles? (e.g.: Is it performed in house such as by
your Reactor Services Group or an independent contractor such as WestingHouse,
GE-Hitachi, Areva, etc.)

2) Is a procedure used to perform this activity?

3) If yes, is it a station procedure or a procedure owned by an outside
group?

4) At what pressure (psig) do you operate your hydrolaze equipment?

5) What is the maximum operating pressure allowed by procedure?

6) How effective of a dose rate reduction do you achieve inside your
Drywell?

7) Are there certain nozzles that are difficult to hydrolaze due to
location in the vessel or interferences?
