Davis Besse uses the MSA OptimAir TL PAPR.
Pros: Light(er) weight than previous model, better design with weight
distributed belt pack, battery and air indicator is loud and obvious, easy
to clean/disassemble, can easily wear with worker's own hard hat, heavily
stocked and always available from supplier
Cons: Connection from hose fitting to inlet in hood is not sturdy, when
individuals turn or twist the low flow alarm goes off, standard battery
life does NOT always last for 4 hours, recommend the extended life battery
for longer jobs

Greetings,

Surry Power Station is looking for information on the type(s) of
PAPR/PAPH units that you currently use at your facility.
            · We would like to know the pros and cons of the units
            used.
            · The amount of units you use during your refueling
            cycles.
