Greetings Callaway is looking at shifting from Alconox to H2O2 as the Decon agent. I would ask for feedback from the group, folks that use H2O2, please reply on list, or off at your preference. I'm interested in the following specifics: Concentration of the chemical[Harry L. Miller] : We started at 15% but reduced to 7% to avoid non-rad airborne issues Application technique[Harry L. Miller] : Farm sprayer (we first used bug sprayers but they are too small and slow) Safety precautions[Harry L. Miller] : We ensure 1 RCFC is available in case needed for irritants Satisfaction with technique[Harry L. Miller] : Excellent (sometimes too good). First time we saw shiny metal on cavity walls in 20 years. Advice you may have[Harry L. Miller] : We started several years ago (after Wolf Creek and South Texas). Ensure you wait 20 minutes before you start scrubbing. The worse the contamination the better this stuff works. You will see your walls become cleaner each outage after using.
