Subject: Powernet: Sealed Source Control Question
Looking for some advice here -
How do you handle a source which is stored in the same room in which it is
used? Once it is removed from its lock box / storage container / cabinet for
use, do you
(1) consider that source "issued" to that person?
(2) require that it be logged in/out using a form or some electronic process?
Does your source control procedure (or other controlling document)
(1) contain an issue log or mechanism to track a sources removal from a
storage location?
(2) Provide detailed instructions on what actions constitute an "issue for
use"?
(3) Provide an exemption for the logging of sources which never leave the room
in which they are used?
Answers, comments and Insights are appreciated.
