Here teams are not dispatched to wear respirators. They do however have a kit
with both Potassium iodide and respirators. Based on the likelihood that the
plume is mostly noble gas and iodine, I would recommend they take the KI and
bypass the respirators. I don’t know what kind of respirator filters are in
the kit, but if not charcoal then they are not effective. And keep them out of
the plume unless necessary. Sue

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [Powernet] Respirators for EP Field Teams

Email sent from outside of PSEG. Use caution before using links/attachments.
Are there any plants out there that do NOT use respirators for their Emergency
Planning Field Teams measuring plumes, etc.?

Thanks,
