are you sure about this?  The qemu page for release 0.90 claims it's  
working.

Don't install Solaris 10 FCS for x86 as it uses real mode drivers and  
requires
specific hardware to run.

Instead, download and install either OpenSolaris or one of its variants.

I install and run OpenSolaris on qemu for x86 quite regularly.
