A few things will help you: 1. The docs section of this project. Tons of docs on the PowerPC architecture. 2. GCC 3.4.x toolchain and binutils. Standard compiler for this project. 3. GRUB Bootloader. You can simple review booting on the several PowerPC/POWER-base platforms out there (see system requirements thread). 4. The Oct 2006 code drop of Polaris. 5. The ON b68 kernel - see where things are and where they are going.
